Thank you Lisa!

It’s been part of my life for years, rather THEY have been part of my life for years.

Dreams, dreams, dreams.

First of all, driving across Canada. I have seen both oceans and I have driven to the one our eastern end. I have seen the western end but not the geography in between where I am now, Ottawa, and Victoria.

The other, is my fascination with travel trailers and being on the road.

This year, 2017, I get to have these dreams come true. I will be driving to Chilliwack in a couple of weeks to take delivery of a marvelous little trailer, an Escape 19.

I am 68 years old, I have no partner in my life except for my cat and he is not coming along for the ride.

It has been quite an experience deciding on this major, expensive purchase. I also had to buy a new truck capable of pulling this as yet nameless trailer.

After much investigation and test drives, I finally settled on a 2016 GMC Canyon Duramax Diesel pick-up truck. I.JUST.LOVE.IT!!

This is my first blog and I have no idea where I will end up. Some days, I will write in English and others in French.

I will not go into any detail on the whole decision making process right now that led me here. Perhaps later as anecdotes.

Comme j’expliquais à l’autre, me voici à un tournant dans ma vie. Je partirai bientôt à l’aventure dans ma nouvelle caravane qui m’attends en Colombie Britannique.

Ceci est mon premier blogue. On verra comment ça ira, parfois en anglais, parfois en français.
